The Feet People offers several types of orthotics that are used to help correct foot and gait abnormalities. We work with the individual and through an exam come up with a treatment plan that is specific to your needs. Once the orthotics are made The Feet People have an inhouse lab to make any modifications and adjustments.
CUSTOM ORTHOTICS
ACCOMMODATIVE ORTHOTICS
Accommodative orthotics are a softer more flexible orthotic that helps transfer pressure or pain from a specific area. They are used to distribute the patient's body weight away from a painful area and/or provide needed support to decrease pain. The materials are softer than a functional orthotics and tend to pad around the area. They aren't made to correct a person's gait but to address foot symptoms by decreasing areas of pressure.
FUNCTIONAL ORTHOTICS
Functional orthotics aid in increasing or maintaining the normal function of a patient’s feet. They may also reduce foot, ankle, knee and back pain. Functional foot orthotics are made of various materials to make a formed support and at times incorporate modifications to aid patients' issues. Top covers and cushioning are used in addition to provide comfort for one's specific needs. There are endless design options and materials to provide an orthotic to your need.
